On the 20th of January 2007 at the castle of Rapperswil the sailing class was established. Over 40 Esse 850 owners and crewmembers met in Rapperswil and set the foundations of the "esse 850 International Class". Thomas Rudolphi who oversaw the elections for president, actuary and treasurer conducted the assembly. Subsequently the assembly chose their president, Stephan Züger.

The "esse 850 International Class" is established.

Der Auftakt des ESSE 850 Cup 2009 findet in Monaco statt. 5 – 8 Février 2009 12 – 15 Février 2009 XXV° Primo Cup – Trophée Credit Suisse Dank guten Beziehungen zu den Organisatoren des Primo Cups, ist es uns gelungen, am Primo Cup unsere erste Schwerpunkt Regatta 2009 durchführen zu dürfen. Für jeden Regattasegler ist es ein Traum, vor der eindrücklichen Kulisse, mit unseren eleganten Esse 850 regattieren zu können.  Es wäre gut wenn wir mindestens 15 Boote an die Startlinie bringen könnten. 10./11. Mai 2008	Pappi is in Rappi: Herrliche Bedingungen vor Rapperswil! Sonnig, warm und während zwei Tagen eine Thermik mit 2 Windstärken. Am Sonntag wurden 2 Läufe gesegelt.
