The esse 850 International Class Association was founded in January 2007, at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, the communication among the sailors Esse850 to promote and coordinate the activities in Switzerland and internationally. Measured at six to seven international regattas since then, the best crews and determine an annual winner of the esse International Cup. In 2010, the Swiss esse 850 Class was added from "Swiss Sailing"  as a member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members, who actively participate in regattas. Great importance but also the social aspect. The sailors are not only athletic competition, but both the official event, the General Assembly, as well as the common dinner are important and all around common interests and promote the sporting friendship!

Dear Committee of Monaco Yacht Club

The esse850 International Class will not be part of the Primo Cup this year.

Because of the weatherconditions (very deep temperatures), the hugh volume of snow in the alpes and the situation of the streets from Switzerland and Germany to Monaco the teams decided not to go to the Mediterranean Sea.

We trust you understand our reasons for not coming to the event. We apologize for any inconvenience in this connection.
