Mediterranean Cup – Final Day

Details

No wind and no more races on the third day of the Mediterranean Cup 2016 in Lerici. The final ranking therefore remains the same as yesterday after four races which is why the GER 111 with Thomas Rudolphi captured the overall victory of the first event of the Esse 850 IC Cup 2016.

The podium is completed by the SUI 172, team «Ottocinquedue» with Alain Marchand, in second place and the SUI 157, the «Esseboats Team» with Stefan Schuchter, in third. Detailled results. About The Class

The «Esse 850 International Class» is the official class-unification of the Esse 850 One-Design yachts and was founded in January 2007 at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, stimulate communication among the sailors of the Esse 850 and promote and coordinate all activities in Switzerland and internationally.

In 2010, the Swiss Esse 850 Class was accommodated to «Swiss Sailing» as a Member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members who actively participate in regattas.
