At 1pm, all teams attended the skipper's meeting on the terrace of the beautiful clubhouse at the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano. The race officer, namely Peter Schmidle, made clear from the get-go that it should be difficult to race today, as weather predictions did not promise any wind at all. Well, Schmidle was right.

As the fog joined the rainfall in the early afternoon over Lake Lugano, the wind was bound to stay far away. This is why the committee decided fairly early, at around 4pm, to abandon racing for the day.

Sadly, the 19 Esse 850-Teams could therefore not enjoy any sailing action on the first day of the Esse 850 IC Cup 2015 in spite of great motivation. Nevertheless, all teams can still count on a successful first event of the season because tomorrow's forecast looks sweet. Sun, 20 degrees temperature and, most importantly, 10-15 knots of breeze from north. The fleet will be at the committee's disposal at 10am.
